Texas-Based Social Media Advertising Firm Plans to Open Office in Downtown Cleveland

By: James Carey

Digital technology/social advertising firm Tiger Pistol plans to open an office in the Warehouse District in downtown Cleveland – the company’s first office outside its Austin, Texas, home.

Team NEO announced on Wednesday, July 8, that Tiger Pistol’s expansion here is expected to bring at least 25 new jobs into the market. The timing of the Cleveland office’s opening depends on when state and local funding for the project is approved.

Tiger Pistol was ranked among the top five advertising and marketing companies on Inc. magazine’s 5000 Series: Texas list of that state’s fastest-growing private companies. The company is a third-party publisher of social media advertising for global brands, resellers, and agencies.

Paul Elliott, the CEO of Tiger Pistol and the former president of marketing and software services firm BrandMuscle, said Cleveland’s pool of technology and marketing expertise and the city’s affordability are some of the key driving factors for expansion into the market.

“Cleveland’s world-class marketing and technology talent and their amazing work ethic is a competitive advantage when building and scaling a business. Our Cleveland expansion will help further strengthen our social advertising offering, which is already the dominant solution for multi-location marketers,” Elliott said.

Cleveland-based private investment firm Next Sparc, where Elliott was a partner, acquired Tiger Pistol in 2019.

Tiger Pistol’s expansion is part of an economic development collaboration between the city of Cleveland, Project Management Consultants, JobsOhio, and Team NEO. The project funding, details of which have not been announced, is subject to state and local approval.
